Dr. Soumitri Barua

Resident Physician at Rhode Island Hospital

Dr. Soumitri Barua came to Brown University in 2013 as a student in the Program of Liberal Medical Education. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude with an A.B. in Public Health in 2017, where her research was primarily focused on public health policy surrounding hepatitis C. She then started medical school at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, when she was first exposed to the field of neurology and the neurosciences. She graduated from medical school in 2021 and stayed at Brown to complete her neurology residency, where she is currently a second year resident.

Ms. Chelsea Chen

Analyst at Insight Partners‬‬

Chelsea Chen graduated from Harvard University in 2022 with a degree in Applied Mathematics in Economics and Computer Science and a minor in Music. While at Harvard, she was the Director of Finance at Harvard CBE (Consulting in Business and the Environment), sang with the Radcliffe Pitches (acapella), and earned high honors for her senior thesis on the impact of tech demand on city development. She is currently an analyst on the Diligence and Growth Strategy team at Insight Partners, a venture capital and private equity firm based in New York.

Ms. Olga Czabaj-Shetty

Bank of America's Global Markets Division Lead‬‬

​Olga Czabaj-Shetty holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BBA, summa cum laude, from the George Washington University. Currently, she leads Strategic Investments & Digital Strategy initiatives for Bank of America Securities' Global Markets division. As Digital Strategy lead, she develops and executes a strategy to build a digital portal for clients to access proprietary content and analytics. In 2022, she received Water Technology's "Technology Innovator of the Year" award, which recognizes women occupying technology and data leadership roles across capital markets.

Ms. Aruna Chung-A-Hing

Advanced Biology and Research Seminar Teacher

Ms. Aruna Chung-A-Hing is currently a teacher in the Science Department at The Brearley School, where she has been since the 2021-22 school year. She teaches VII Science, Biology, Advanced Biology, and Research Seminar. Prior to joining the Brearley community, she taught Advanced Biology and Calculus at a charter school in New York. Some of her favorite topics to teach are cell-cell interactions, DNA damage, mutagenesis, and DNA repair. She earned a B.S. in Biological Anthropology from New York University and a Master's in Extension Studies in Biology from Harvard University. Her thesis focused on an epidemiological study of inflammatory breast cancer.

Ms. Amisha Kumar

First-Year Medical Student

Ms. Amisha Kumar received a Master's degree in Public Health and a BA in Chemical Biology from Case Western Reserve University and is currently in her first year of medical school. As a researcher at Stanford and Case Western Reserve School of Medicine, her research experience ranges from studying RNA to working with CRISPR cloning to stem cells. She is currently a first-year medical student at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine.
